I signed up our four family members to do this tour.
My 18-year-old son was the only one that kayaked, unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances that day.
Kauai's geography also makes it unique in the sense that it is the only island that has a water world of navigable rivers that descend from the mountains to the sea on the eastern slopes of the island. The raft ride is an adventure it truly takesa toll on your body. Pickup was on time and they took pictures withour cameras before we left. Mahalo This tour was my first time on a helicopter and it did not disappoint!
This provides the Kauai visitor with the unique opportunity to see the interior of the island via a Kayak Tour. They brought us as close as possible to every cave, waterfall, andbeach on the Na Pali coast that we could safely access and knew where to findthe dolphin pods... They were veryinformative of the sites we saw along the way and very friendly! Catamaran was verycomfortable, staff was very attentive and conversational; eager and willing toanwer our questions. The crew was fun and did a great job informing us on thehistory and culture of the island. The grounds/surroundings addedto the entire atmosphere of a magnificent Luau. I had never been in a small plane before, butit was a fantastic experience.. The captain and crew were superaccommodating and enjoyable. He provided a very thorough and easyto hear and understand narration of what we were seeing. I chose the ride without the doors because as the saying says 'go big or go home'!
He really brought our group together which made it so much more fun. Would highly recommend First--I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled because this trip was soamazing. I've takenmany tours all over the Hawaiian islands and this is by far the best I've beenon. This is a great kayak trip and the guides were excellent. Unfortunately in the area of customer service I would not rate so high. We paid extra to sit upfront and it was well worth it. Theambience around the grounds made for a perfect evening! Captain Coryalong with his crew were great and entertaining. The food was great and thelines were quick and organized. This was the perfect excursion to book for our group of 11. Might suggest wet suit tops if you areinclined to get cold. Captain Kauai and his crew really went over thetop to make sure everyone was catered to. The boat was perfect for our group of 4 and weswam with turtles which was a real highlight. We had a truly marvelous time aboard the Star Na Pali Dinner Sunset Sail. Nickspent about a half hour explaining what we would see and once we were in thewater helped.. My husband and I did one a few years ago and itwas a blast.
The confirmationemails as we were looking for toms barefoot tours not Kauai back country toursother than that a fantastic tour. You felt like you were watching true professionals. The foodaboard was very good especially the mac potato salad. This tour was perfect for us on our second evening on Kaua'i. Our package had ideal seating, and the show was amazing-agreat story with all kinds of performance elements. Our tour guide was knowledgable and providedinformation on the plants, history and general facts about Kauai (includingrestaurant.. Linda Vanderwal and myself Jenny spent 2 hours with Nick snorkeling near thesouth shore this was our first time and I'm a little afraid of the water.
My son, however, had an unforgettable experience and was very glad to have gone. A fabulous experience, saw spinner dolphins that played with the boat for a very long time, saw sea turtles and goats on the cliffs.
You'll have to grab something to harness yourself to the boat or you may end up overboard :) If you are even remotely sea sick, _do not try_.
The following Activity and Tour categories make Kauai an unforgettable location for your Hawaiian holiday. The fact that this was a private tour made it even more special. I rode with the door off - mywife preferred to keep a door on. First off we were told, that the day we went was a rare occurrence of no cloudcover over the Waimea canyon. Our captain, (unfortunately I don't remember her name), was very pleasant, and interacted with all of.. This was a fantastic tour with phenomenal island views? First class is the way to go--worth the extra money to make sure you get a goodview. Never thought I'd have an opportunity to catch Peacock Bass and thisplace made a dream come true.
Helicopter Tours on Kauai are so different than helicopter flights on other Hawaiian Islands. We had never been in a helicopter, and optedto pay the few extra dollars for front row seating. I have only attended a Disney Luau in the past, so I was really looking forwardto a real Hawaiian Luau. The food wasokay, but from reviews I have read, it isn't suppose to be 5 star food. The pilot providedgreat local knowledge about everything from the geology to the coffee farms. Our guide provided greatinstruction, local knowledge, and navigation. We had four people and were able to split between 2 helicopters thatleft at the same time. Scott was very patient and kind with my 6 year olddaughter who also had a blast! Tony and Denise were excellent guides and instructors and they made the toursafe and fun.
No other island can provide this type of experience. The tour was fantastic..loved being serenaded by ukele in the tunnels..tourguides were fun, informative and entertaining!! Be preparedthough if you get any type of motion sickness..ride itself is smooth, justa love of.. The food was fantastic, with veggieoptions as well, and the staff was amazing. We had an amazing time and on the way saw dolphins and turtles. Fillet dinner was great, open bar on the return trip. We spent a week on Kauai looking for whales fromthe road and various beaches and saw none. Unbelievable views, and the tour guide was fun and informative showing us thelocations that movies were filmed on the island right on the ranch. I would highly recommend this tour to anyoneheaded to Kauai. The grounds were beautifully manicured, the food wasfantastic and the show was even better. Myonly negative is they did not have a pick up from the cruise ship and wehad to contact them for a number to get a taxi since they were few and farbetween at the port. Plus let's be honest, it took me 28 years to get on a helicopter who knows how long..
Though luaus are not unique to the island of Kauai, the unique Luau Experience that can be found here is actually by a river. Highly recommend..beware thewater is chilly, but on a hot day it felt refreshing.. I would highly recommend this to anyonethat wants to attend a luau for their first time or even their second time. The captain and guide were extremely personable and their knowledge of theisland's geology and cultural history was really impressive. My husband and I had an amazing experience during our honeymoon.
