Although well known, there are some negative affects associated with interracial dating.

A big benefit of interracial dating is that one may find out something about another culture that they would have never known if they had not dated the person from that culture. Traditions such as segregation have changed dramatically over the years.
Everyone has heard the infamous "When I was your age." line. Traditions, activities, and other things such as separation of races are just some things that have changed since our grandparents were "our age." My grandparents attended school at a time when all schools were segregated.
